Dirge Seçil Kuran is a multi-instrumentalist from Istanbul, Turkey. She is a professional classical and contemporary percussionist and a composer who works with the crossover, pop and contemporary scene. During her career as a performer, she participated in concerts such as BBC Promps, Salzburg and Hong Kong Classical Music Festivals. Between 2016 and 2018, she did her masters in Music and Technology at HKU in the Netherlands. This was the time that she turned her focus more on crossover projects, electro-acoustic collaborations, song writing, and production. Dirge Seçil Kuran started as a dark art-rock project but now it includes mostly everything that Seçil does. In her improvisations with Dirge Seçil Kuran, she enhances her sound with vibraphone, junk percussions, synths, vocals, and Eurorack modules to process her vocals and whatever percussive instruments she is using.
