We do have some additional information for you about the increased ticket price.
The entrance fee for Dutch Modular Fest is increasing to 30 euros this year, and there’s a few reasons for that:
By buying a ticket, you help make the event happen, from the festival location rent, to equipment costs that have also increased at our tech rentals. We want to work towards a fair pay practice for artists and musicians playing at DMF. We are happy to have a killer lineup every year at the festival, art and installation contributions from local makers, and we want to be able to support their taking part at DMF as much as we can.
Dutch Modular Fest is run by a group of volunteers and is a non-profit organisation. We put a lot of work into this event, and all in our own time. Since the board of our foundation is also personally liable for any potential losses, we want to reduce that personal financial risk so we can organise DMF year after year without having the stress of the impact it makes on the team personally.
For this year we have decided that all Sound Workshops and additional Education programmes and artists talks, are free to visit, when you already have a regular DMF festival ticket! So no additional payment is needed, to learn more about modular synthesis, sound design, artist background stories and more!
DIY soldering workshops, will have a separate fee of €15,-, this is directly put back again in the makers who organise the soldering workshops, you will find more info about this on the DIY page.
